Path to crime

Well this is a surprise story - especially as it comes immediately before the enquiry into the closure of the public footpath that this is alleged to have occurred on.

Perhaps - rather than closing a public right of way that has been in situ for decades the school needs to review it's security measures - was the door strong enough?

And as far as the path being a huge safety risk - then is it more risky than the A19 road outside the front of the school or any other footpath in York - no I think not.
